A decade to a decade and a half after the Berke-Hulagu war, Ertuğrul Ghazi makes a journey to Konya, entrusting the leadership of his tribe to his brother, Dündar Bey. Unfortunately, Dündar Bey becomes susceptible to the influence of others who manipulate him into carrying out their wrongful deeds. He falls into the snares of the cunning Selçuk Sançak Bey Alişar and the ruthless princess of Kulucahisar, Sofia, who harbors a strong desire to eliminate all Turks. Osman, Dündar’s nephew, sees through Alişar and Sofia’s sinister plans and attempts to warn his uncle, although Dündar initially refuses to heed the warning.
As tensions continue to mount within the Kayı tribe, Geyhatu dispatches Komutan Balgay to further disrupt their activities and prevent any rebellion against the Mongols, particularly Osman. Dündar, who has submitted to Mongol authority and assumed the role of Sançak Bey, remains oblivious to Alişar’s growing resentment at losing his position to him. He also believes Alişar when he falsely accuses Osman of being responsible for his son’s death. However, Dündar eventually learns the truth. Osman takes matters into his own hands, beheading Alişar, and marries his love at first sight, Bala.
